CHANDIGARH, May 24: Several senior Congress leaders today condoled the death of Ms Surinder Kaur Badal, the wife of the Chief Minister S Parkash Singh Badal and the mother of the Deputy Chief Minister S Sukhbir Singh Badal.
In her condolence message to the bereaved family the Union Minister of State for External Affairs Ms Perneet Kaur said, this was a moment of extreme grief and sorrow for the family and she shared the family’s grief.
In another statement Ludhiana MP and the national spokesperson of the Indian National Congress Manish Tewari also expressed grief over the sad demise of Ms Badal.Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee vice president and in charge of the PCC office Mr Lal Singh also expressed sorrow over the death.
Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, Nabha MLA, Randeep Nabha said, Ms Badal fought a long battle against the cancer with lot of courage.
