CHANDIGARH, AUG 25 :Ankit Pursharthi (76) and Sourav Chopra (35) were associated in a 70-run partnership for the second wicket which paved the way for Mohali to score 260 all out in 93.4 overs against Patiala on the first day in the final of the Punjab Inter-District Under-19 Cricket Tournament for Dhruv Pandove Trophy at the Dhruv Pandove Stadium in Patiala today.
Mohali won the toss and elected to bat. Yuvraj Singh and Gunjot also made useful contributions. Yuvraj scored 65 while Gunjot remained not out on 48.
Patiala left arm spinner Amaninder was the most successful bowler as he claimed four wickets for 74 runs. Himanshu Chawla and Bhavish Goel got two wickets each for 38 and 17 runs, respectively.
At close of play, Patiala batted for three overs before stumps were drawn for the day and were 6 for no loss.
