By SANJAY PAHWA , 8 Mar : Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, Mohali being one of the premier B-school of India, organized Pratibha – Incredible Youth Fest, a management cum youth Festival on 6th March 2010. It was a panorama of cultural and management events ranging from corporate waves to rhymes and rhythm to world of colors covering over 18 activities.
Sh. Rakesh K.Sharma, CEO Aaj Smaaj, inaugurated the festival today on 6th March 2010. Mr. Sharma appreciated the efforts and zeal of the student community and also congratulated the institute for organizing such a wonderful event. He emphasized that such events not only help the students to develop their managerial skills but also give them a practical exposure on how to organize such events. He advised the students imbibe moral and ethical values in them and develop universal brotherhood & spread the message of peace. More than 25 institute from the region participated in the festival.
Earlier, Sh. J.S.Bedi, Chairman of GJ-IMT welcomed the guests and gave a brief introduction to the philosophy and mission of the institute. He also appreciated the efforts of his team in organizing such an event.
A full day programme covering various events like Gidda, Bhangra, Rangoli, Face Painting, Debate, Quiz, Sell It, World of Spectrum and Skits were organizing and as many as more than 400 students participate with full Zeal and enthusiasm. The response of the students in this cultural fest was overwhelming. Good number of companies also put up stalls and displayed their products. Many college got a first position in the event of Lok Geet GOVT.COLLEGE,SEC-46,CHD, Just Minutes IIPM, Cross Talk – Amity Global Business School, NET PPT – Chitkara University, E-Collage – GGDSD 32, Face Painting Govt. College Mohali, Rangoli- Govt. College Mohali, World of Spectrum – Amity Global Business School, Sell IT SASIIT & R Mohali , Western Group Dance – Amity Global Business School, Bhangra – Amity Global Business School.
Sh. H.S. Mattewal, Advocate General of Punjab presided over the prize giving ceremony and encouraged the students to be part of such rich cultural heritage.
The event was widely sponsored by organizations like JET International Placement Service, DISHA Overseas Solutions and PT Education for Quiz.
