MOHALI, JULY 9:APJ Academy of Kharar will meet Sunny Enclave in the final of the first Sardar Amar Singh Memorial Under-12 Cricket Tournament at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium here tomorrow at 1 p.m.
Organised by the Mohali Cricket Association at the PCA Ground 3 today, AJP Academy defeated Desh Prem Azad Cricket Academy by 73 runs in the second semi-final match.APJ Academy won the toss and elected to bat. They piled up 131 for 6 in stipulated 25 overs. Openers Sahil and Abhishek gave them a flying start by realising 55 runs for the first wicket. Sahil played a brilliant knock of 63. His strokekful innings contained half dozen well executed boundaries. Abhishek was out for 13.
Sahil was also associated in a valuable 42-run stand for the fourth wicket with Anmol who contributed an unbeaten 28 runs with the help of three boundaries. DPAC Academy’s all-rounder Paras bagged two wickets for 18 runs.
In reply, DPAC Academy were dismissed for 58 runs in 23.5 overs. Paras, Amrit and Sourav scored 12 runs each. It was Anmol who was wrecker-in-chief of the Azad Academy innings as he consumed four batsmen and conceded only 12 runs. He was given full support by Taranveer (2 for 12) and Aryant (2 for 8).
