Mohali, Sep 20, 2008 (Specttrum News) : A two-day mega cardiac camp started at country’s first health mall, Ivy Hospital, Sector 71, Mohali with the release of 72 heart-shaped balloons in the sky here today.
The film stars of ‘Luv U Bobby’ and doctors of Ivy Hospital released the red balloons, symbolic of healthy heart, to mark the opening of the camp.Dr Zora Singh, president, Indian Medical Association Chandigarh State Branch inaugurated the cardiac camp. While the actors including Vikram Sidhu, Poonam, Jiya Chopra, director Gurinder Dimpy and producer Gurbir Sandhu along with various doctors and guests released the balloons in the sky.
The cardiac camp will continue till 7 PM on Sunday. Anybody can benefit from the camp by paying a registration fee of Rs 50 only. A special discount of 30% is being given to the patients on all the cardiac evaluation processes including ECG, 2D Echo, TMT, Coronary Angiography and Coronary Angioplasty. A total of 115 patients got examined on the first day of the camp.
Mr Gurtej Singh, CEO, Ivy Multi-Speciality Hospital said, "Ivy Hospital will keep ready an ambulance equipped with advanced cardiac care for all the heart patients. We are also launching a cardiac emergency helpline (0172 – 5044 333)."
