CHANDIGARH : Sanjay Pahwa : Expressing concern over the issue raised by the members of ‘Parvasi Bharti Board Punjab’ (PBBP), the Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal directed the Labour department to ensure minimum wages of Rs. 3750 per month for unskilled workers in the state.
Mr. Badal was presiding over a meeting of ‘Parvasi Bharti Board Punjab’ here at Chief Minister’s residence late last evening. He also deputed his Principal Secretary Mr. DS Guru to take necessary action for resolving this issue on priority.Regarding an other issue raised by the Chairman, PBBP Mr. RC Yadav for issuing the Ration Cards to the members of Parvasi Community in the state by organizing state wide camps, Mr. Badal said that government would soon initiate a process in this regard through proper channel with the active involvement of concerned department. Responding to another demand of the Board members, the Chief Minister also asked his Principal Secretary to issue instructions to various Deputy Commissioners and SSPs to give due consideration to the suggestions put forth by members of the Board to address any local issues related to labour class.
Prominent amongst others who were present in the meeting included Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr.DS Guru, Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. KJS Cheema besides the Chairman Mr. RC Yadav and members Mr. RC Ganr, Mr. VM Singh, Mr. Sitamber Singh, Mr. Hargobind Tiwari & Mr. Shyorn Mohan of the Board.
