We are making roads, bridges, and infrastructure but we are not producing true human beings which are socially responsible and can fight for the cause of the nation. Today’s Individual interests are surmounting over the Nation’s Interests and every body in the race of minting money is sacrificing the National Interests. These were the views presented in the Seminar to fight against corruption organized by the Business Innovations Club of SCD Government College Ludhiana. In the Seminar Students of Department of Business Innovations takes the pledge that they will perform their duties deligently and for the welfare and well being of their country . They also takes the pledge that they will exercise their “RIGHT TO VOTE” IN A RIGHT WAY and will choose the Right, clean, honest and innovative Leader. Students pledge that they will remain honest and fair in our dealings and will not hide any thing to manipulate to get their work done. The key note address in the seminar was given by Sh. Mittersen Meet an Eminent writer and District Attorney of Ludhiana. Mr Meet said that the system has become so corrupt that a person cannot fight this menance individually and people have to form groups to fight for various causes. He said that our Laws and by laws has become outdated and need various reforms. He said that the present system of Laws force the individuals to adopt corrupt practices. The theme presentation was presented by Sakshi Gupta , A Student of M.Com Business Innovations . She highlighted the various examples where an indiviaual from its birth to death resort to corrupt practices. She said that we are becoming insensible and every body is becoming self-centred. She urge the fellow students to be deligent and commited towards the Nation.
Dr. Ashwani Bhalla, Programme Coordinator of the Department of Business Innovations said that there is a need to produce sensible citizens who can work for the development of the nation . He said that when we do not cast our vote and elect wrong candidates for executives then we are also corrupt. Principal of the College Mrs Jasbir Kaur makkar stress on the need to introduce value and moral education in the curriculum. She said that students should set their agenda to remain clean and spread the message of corruption free society. She said there is a need to follow high values in life and people in public life should be commited for the cause of the society. She said that it is the joint responsibility of teachers and parents to spend time with their childeren to inculcate values among the students. She said that country is passing through a difficult phase where there is a need to bring reforms in every walks of life. Around 200 students from various classes participated in the seminar. The faculty members of various departments were Like Dr. Mukesh Arora, Dr. U.B. Singh, Dr. Bhupinder Khurana, Dr. Hardeep Singh were also present on the occassion
