He was critical of the Shirmani Akali Dal-Bharitya Janata Party government for its failure to provide good governance.Welcoming him into the party fold, Manish Tewari said, more and more people were joining the Congress. He pointed out, despite the Congress being in opposition in the state people were rushing to join the party. This speaks itself as how much people, particularly the representatives of the public were disillusioned and alienated with the government.
Tewari promised that he would ensure that the people of Ludhiana were properly and ably represented in all the forums wherever he goes. He said, several more councilors were likely to join the party in near future besides a number of Akali and BJP workers and leaders.
