Jalandhar,March 19, 2012: The Himalaya Drug Company, India’s leading herbal health and personal care company, is all set to create a record with the Limca Book of Records for completing the maximum number of facials in three hours! The event titled ‘Himalaya Facial Marathon’ was hosted on the campus of the National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, and attracted the young college crowd.
The attempt to set a new record for the maximum number of facials in three hours resulted in 1012 number of facials being carried out using Himalaya’s wide range of Face Packs like the Purifying Neem Pack, Clarifying Mud Pack and the Refreshing Fruit Pack.
Speaking about this initiative, Jasminder Singh,Regional Manager – North,Consumer Products North,The Himalaya Drug Company said, “With the rise in pollution, the average skin today is exposed to a lot of impurities and pollutants. The reason we chose the face pack range was to highlight that Himalaya’s Face Packs help cleanse the skin of deep-seated impurities thus unmasking your inner beauty. As a brand, Himalaya stands for well-researched, safe and efficacious herbal products. The face packs cater to all skin types – dry, oily, combination and normal skin. Also it is the need of the hour as with the summer temperatures rising, the skin requires more care and protection.”
Jasminder Singh further added, “Presently such a record exists only in the Guinness Book of World Records. We wanted to get into our country’s book of records first before aiming for the world record which isn’t far from our grasp; we are very excited to have attempted this for a chance to enter the Limca book of records.”
He went on to say, “We have a vast target demographic for Himalaya Face Packs. Our face packs are used by college-going students who start at a young age and continue using the product even as they grow older. So we thought it would be better to have our brand evangelists participate in this attempt and be part of the reason why we stand a chance of making this record. There is also a fun element to the event which is why we have seen such enthusiasm from the youngsters. ”
This is an attempt by Himalaya to set a record and the claims are yet to be verified by Limca Book of Records.
