JALANDHAR NOV 18,2013 US Based North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) demanded immediate investigation by the CBI in to the shot killing of Sikh couple in Fresno City of California.
Releasing this statement Satnam Singh Chahal executive director of the Association said that a Sikh couple originaly from Village Pholrhiwal District Jalandhar in Punjab Harmandeep Singh 33, and his wife, Kirandeep Kaur was found dead inside the house in the city of Fresno.Sikh man and woman had only been married for a few months ago and Harmandeep recently brought his wife to Fresno, expecting to start their life together. And they seemed like they were in a happy and healthy relationship. Neighbors were surprised to hear what happened; they say violence is out of character for the couple. Family members are devastated and have more questions than answers.
Haemandeep Singh was a sikh by faith and wear all five K as per his religion. He was the only son of his parents. and it’s a big, big loss to the family, told one of his family member to NAPA over the phone. Chahal said that the couple showed no signs of a troubled relationship.They were very happy, and laughing, like regular couples,they never saw that this could happen to them.Nothing can be said at this stage about these killing but the hate crime can be ruled out said Chahal.Propery investigation by the CBI should be done.
