Bathinda, April 27
Lashing at Congress leadership for giving misleading statements in frustration, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal President Shiromani Akali Dal and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab said that Congress leadership has lost its senses after sensing party’s humiliating defeat in the Lok Sabha election. He appealed to the voters of Punjab to give SAD-BJP alliance all the 13 seats to have their contribution in making a strong and stable NDA government at centre.
Replying to media queries while campaigning for Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, the SAD-BJP candidate from Bathinda, Mr. Badal said that Congress has seen its embarrassing defeat written on wall, thus its leadership has opted the strategy of misleading people of the nation to create instability and confusion in the nation. “Congress leadership knows that it will never come back to power if country elected Mr. Narinder Modi led NDA government at centre. Thus, they have started extending support to third front even before the election results to fuel instability”, he added.
Mr. Badal further said that Congress party was praying for an unstable government at centre. He said that history of Congress party shows that when its leaders were unable to do anything they were out to disrupt the chances of others but this time people of the nation were well aware of these age old tactics of Congress party and they would not allow Congress to destroy this country.
Earlier addressing a rally at ward number 19, Mr. Badal gave a clarion call to the voters of Punjab to ensure thumping victory of all SAD-BJP candidates. He said that Congress was trying to destabilize the country so it was need of the hour that Punjabis should give verdict in favour of all the 13 SAD-BJP candidate to have a strong say of the state in forming a stable NDA government at centre. “If there is a strong NDA government at the Centre, if SAD-BJP alliance sits in the parliament with the support of 13 MPs, and then only centre government will listen to its demands. Than only, we can also deliver on our promises to the people,” said Mr. Badal.
Mr. Badal appealed to the voters of Bathinda constituency that only two days were left for the Lok Sabha polling so they should prepare a list of development and welfare works done in the constituency by the SAD-BJP alliance and Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal on one side of the paper and that of Congress party on the other side. He requested voters to vote for a party or candidate who scored maximum as per their list. He appealed the voters to vote for development rather than other petty issues.
