Jammu, July 23 : The Ludhiana-based NGO Noble Foundation has expressed concern over the neglect of Dalits in a border village of Samba district and offered to provide them free education.
“We were moved after reading a news report about their problems in an english news paper and we want to help them,” chairman of the foundation Rajinder Sharma said over the telephone.
The NGO has offered to provide free education, uniform and other education material to the villagers.
“If the villagers give us some accommodation we would establish a school for their children,” Sharma said.The foundation has been helping more than 1,400 children by providing them free education in Punjab.
