SRINAGAR, July 23: Additional director general of police (CID) K Rajendra Kumar today said there is no delay in the police verification for issuing passports to Hajj aspirants.
He was reacting to the allegation of the Hajj pilgrims that 80 percent of them wait passports due to the delay in CID verification. The views of the Hajj aspirants were part of a news story, carried by Kashmir Times today.
“There is no delay through CID verification. Out of 60,289 references we have cleared 50,796 cases and just 493 cases are pending and their clearance is in the process,” he said.
