4 Apr :The six BSP MLAs who had voted for the Gehlot government in the trust vote in early Januray, have now en-masse joined the Congress party giving it a majority on its own in the assembly.The MLA’s are Rajendra Gudda, Rajkumar Sharma, Murarilal Meena, Ram Kesh Meena, Ramesh Meena and Giriraj Singh.
Cracks had emerged in the Rajasthan unit of the BSP when all six party MLAs in the recently elected House rose in revolt against Dharam Singh Ashok who is in-charge of Rajasthan unit.
After joining the Congress, Rajendra Gudha told the press that the six MLAs decided to quit BSP as "there was rampant corruption" in the party in allotment tickets during the assembly poll, and now for the Lok Sabha elections as well.
The Congress has 96 seats in the 200 member.
