PASIGHAT, Dec 13: There is No shortcut to achieve success in life said the HHM Tako Dabi today. On the way to Itanagar, the HM visited the valedictory function of four day long traffic awareness campaign held at Ruksin Community hall this morning organized by SP East Siang Alok Kumar in collaboration with SP (Traffic), Itanagar A Tamut.
Addressing the gathering, the minister called upon the students and unemployed youths to avail the opportunities provided to them by the present Government and lamented the fact that due to non-competitive attitude amongst the youths, many posts (short-hand with computer knowledge) are still lying vacant in his department.
Stating teaching is the noblest profession, the home minister said he started his career as educationist and finally wants to take retirement as educationist if get a chance in his life. He also claimed that education is the best means of achieving prosperity but students must have right attitude and thoughts, good dreams, ideologies, respects in traditions, customs, religions and tribes, he added.
The minister today insisted that the student community should get involved more in the extra-curricular activities and further citing examples of renowned Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza, mountaineer T. Mara, national Gold medalist Yukar Sibi weight lifter and many more, Dabi stated one must have aim, discipline and determination in life with proper strategies and claimed that no one could block him/her talents, reiterated the minister.
Terming the students as future guardians Dabi appealed all to be law abiding and faithful helping the traffic police personnel on duties to save their own and other precious human lives. He advised both the driver and pedestrians to treat as mandatory to learn the complete knowledge of traffic rules to avoid future road accidents. He exhorted the youths to avail optimum benefits under RTE and spread awareness amongst the society about dreaded HIV/AIDS and drug abuse etc. He discouraged money culture and untimely marriage system in the state. Urging the teachers to promote English language in school and colleges for brilliant careers and complemented SP Kumar and SP A Tamut and their team of officers for their untiring efforts.
Earlier, SP Alok Kumar in his short speech said the people would get a big opportunity to widening their transaction across the globe with interactions of huge tourist/visitors on the event of ensuing Centenary celebration showcasing good behaviors, discipline and hospitalities.
The SP (Traffic, Itanagar) A. Tamut and T Radeng OC (Traffic) described various issues related to traffic signals and road safety measures through power point presentations. The SDO Y Tayeng, DSP R Padu, SDPO D Jini and Tanyo Tapak (JT) also spoke on the occasion.
