Kohima,16 June:The Kuzhami Union Kohima held its 8th General Session programme on 14th June 2008 at State Academy Hall Kohima with Deputy Chairman, State Planning Board, Government of Nagaland Neiba Kronu as the Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest in his address called for unity amongst all the Khezha people and appealed to them to join hands with advanced people (the Look-East Policy) and move towards advancement. He said ‘our people have to venture out and expand in all areas’. He added that ‘our people are sincere, honest and hospitable and this quality must be passed on and be a trademark of every individual’. He said 2008 being the ‘Year of Capacity Building’, one has to take advantage of it. He also stressed on the need for maintaining peace with our neighbours.
President, High Court Bar Association, Kohima Bench, Guwahati High Court, Timikha Koza, Advocate in his exhortation highlighted that the Nagas originated from Kuzhami area. Shorts speeches were also delivered by outgoing President, Kuzhami Union Kohima and the newly elected President.
The programme was chaired by Vice President, Kuzhami Union Kohima, Sabou Krome, invocation was pronounced by Vice Pastor, CCRC, Upper PWD, Kohima, Vote of Thanks by Joint Secretary, Kuzhami Union Kohima, Mewelo Medo and Benediction was proposed by Asst. Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church, Minister Hills, Wepre Mero.
