His life is a monument in itself and he transcends himself through works and deeds from a common man to a prophet and now he belongs to mankind which judged by the greatness of its result for human welfare and have made his name immortal anywhere in the Naga village particularly in Human Resources Development”, said Parliamentary Secretary for Sports & Youth Resources and Land Revenue Naiba Konyak. He was speaking at the 15th presentation ceremony of Mayangnokcha Award 2008 for Academic Excellence at Ongpangkong Salang, Mokokchung on 17th October 2008 organised by Mayangnokcha Award Trust as the Chief Guest.
Konyak stressed on the fact that the greatness of a Nation depends not on the larger number of its inhabitants nor on the large acres of land, nor on the wealth, nor on the strength of the army, navy and air force but on the moral character and true patriotism of its students. He also urged the students and said that the walls of separation should be broken down and encourage the process of socialization wherein we become complete and fully capable of living in peace and loving other human beings.
The Chief Guest also gave away the awards to the recipients who achieved respective subject toppers in the last NBSE 2008. The function was attended by students. Educationist, senior citizens. Government Officials and public leaders.
