27 Oct : Nagaland Police won the 9th NSF Martyrs Memorial trophy 2008. The finals played on Saturday, the 25th October 2008 between Nagaland Police and Tribal Spirit, which the former won the match by a convincing four goals.
Commissioner & Secretary, Information & Public Relations and Horticulture, Sentiyanger, IAS gave away the prizes. Earlier, Youth director ABCC, Neivilieo Zuyie, said the invocation prayer. Introductory note was given by Convener, Organizing Committee, Rokoketou Sechü and a special number was given by Emilo Patton.
The match officials were Methalhoulie (main referee), Assistant Referees- Lhousavotuo and Zavibeinyü, 4th referee- Zavibeinyü and match commissioner Kobou Medom.
Prizes given away were as follows:
Champions – Nagaland Police – Rs. 70, 000/-and a running trophy and certificates.
Runner-up – Tribal Spirit – Rs. 35,000/- and a running-up trophy with certificates
Individual prizes:
Best Goal keeper – Peisuidibe (Kingdom Stewards)
Player of the tournament – Adibu (Nagaland Police)
7 goals each- Kobou (New Market), L. Boipu (Tribal Spirit) and Saku (Nagaland Police)
