Kohima,27 May:The Government of Nagaland under the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima is organizing the Kohima District Women Seminar under the theme "Towards a New Horizon" at 9 a.m. on 28th May 2008 at State Academy Hall, Kohima. The Seminar is being organized under the aegis of the Nagaland Women Commission, sponsored by the Department of Women Development, Nagaland and co-ordinated by Angami Women Organisation Kohima.
The resource persons for the Seminar include Nino Liegise, ADC (J) Kohima, Rosemary Dzüvichü, Expert Member, National Commission for Women, Dr. Aseno John, Medical Officer, Kohima, and Daizy Mezhür, Secretary, Nagaland State Social Welfare Board. The seminar will mainly focus on the topics of "Legal Rights and Women", "Women in Decision Making" and "Women in Education". The inaugural programme will be presided over by Abeni TCK, Member, Nagaland Women Commission and keynote address will be presented by Chairperson, Nagaland Women Commission, Sano Vamuzo.
According to Sano Vamuzo, three women delegates including a woman leader, women representative of VDB and Chairman/GB of the village or a prominent women NGO, from each village under Kohima district are being invited.
