Kohima , 14 August : An internationally acclaimed Punjabi Folk Dance group, led by the famous Bhangra Dancer Kuljeet Singh arrived in Kohima at the behest of Lt. Col. Gurbir Singh Gill of the Blue Chip Battalion, to perform in the major Assam Rifles and Army establishments in the state.
This is for the first time that such an exclusive troupe of Punjab has embarked on the soil of Nagaland, which itself has a glorious cultural ethnicity to be proud of. Kuljeet Singh is accompanied by 18 select artists of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Chandigarh, who perform under the aegis of DIPR, Punjab. This group has traveled to a number of countries and has enthralled the audiences all over. In India, it has won a number of awards in various Dance and Cultural Competitions. The citizens of Nagaland will witness their spirited performance at the 62nd Independence Day Parade at Kohima.
