11 Sep :Clarifying on the issue of details of boundaries of Assam Nagaland, Nagaland Home Commissioner H.K. Khulu, informed that in response to the Sundaram’s Commission the local commission, after its hearing in 1979, sent about 42 documents annexure to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
The MHA forwarded the annexures to the Assam Government and when the Nagaland Government requested that these should be returned, the Assam Government said during the last hearing that it was not traceable, he said.
In this regard the local commission has directed MHA and survey of India, that Nagaland Government should have access to all the archives to trace the document.
He also disclosed that a meeting of MHA, Government of Nagaland and Survey General has been scheduled on 13th October 2008 and with the Local Border Commission on 1st November at Delhi.
