Kohima,14 July: Nagaland Civil Secretariat has started implementation of Home Department’s Office Memorandum dated 29th March 2006 and 19th May 2006 in toto vis-à-vis regulation of office timing and punctuality in the Civil Secretariat with effect from today, the 14th July.
Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Lalthara in an office Memorandum said, the main gate of Secretariat shall be closed every day at 11 a.m during summer months i.e. April to September and at 10:30 a.m during winter months i.e. October to March. The Office Memorandum said any employee coming to office later than this, without any authorization shall be given a half day’s casual leave. The office memorandum further said a repetition shall be liable for application of ‘No work no pay” and half day salary will be deducted for such late coming for whole day’s absence without leave being sanctioned, one day salary shall be deducted.
Lalthara directed all Administrative Heads of Departments and Branch Officers to conduct surprise checking of attendance from time to time and the principle of ‘No work no pay’ will be implemented on the basis of the report submitted by the Administrative Heads and Branch Officers. Copies of the office memorandum under reference have been circulated to all Administrative Heads and Branch offices.
