6 June:The District Coordination Committee lead by the District Administration conducted a joint raid in an around Dimapur district to flush out armed cadres from various faction from civilian areas.
DC Dimapur Maongwati Aier stated that as per the ceasefire ground rules the District Coordination Committee will stick to the rule and will flush out armed cadres from the civilian areas. However there was a stand off between the District Coordination Committee and NSCN (IM) faction at Wungram colony when the later refused to allow the conduct of house to house operation saying that there a mutual understanding within the GoI and IM group, so that the armed cadres of IM will stay in Wungram colony as they were apprehensive about the past incident at Wungram colony under the very nose of the police and district administration.
However the matter was settled after long persuasion from District Coordination Committee appealing the armed cadres from the colony. Altogether joint raid was conducted in six colonies by the district administration, police, GBs & DBs Forum and para military forces at Purana bazaar, Burma camp, Khermahal, Borlingiri, Wungram and Midland colony at the time of filing this report.
