Kohima,25 July : The Finance Department has reminded all departments to submit the Revised Estimate (RE) 2008-09 and Budget Estimate (BE) 2009-10, along with the incumbent-wise salary statement as on 31st March 2008 in the prescribe format on or before the 31st August 2008. In a circular, Principal Secretary & Finance Commissioner, Toshi Aier said except Border Affairs, no other department has submitted till date.
He reminded all the departments to submit the same as per the prescribe format along with soft copy, (CD-Excel format) and hand deliver to Y. Kikheto Sema Official-on-Special Duty (Budget) or Budget Branch on or before 31st August 2008.
The Finance Commissioner said, in the event of any department failing to submit the same within the stipulated time, instructions will be issued on 1st September 2008 to the Treasuries to dishonour all payments including salary in respect of the defaulting departments.
The Finance Commissioner in a separate circular has asked fifteen (15) departments to submit the detailed Head wise break-up for RE 2008-09 under State Plan/Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS)/North Eastern Council (NEC)/Non-lapsable Central Pool Resources (NLCPR) and detailed work programme for 2008-09 in the prescribed format along with soft copy. The required papers should be submitted to K. Heni, Secretary, Finance on or before 30th July 2008. Toshi Aier said, in the event of failure to submit the same within the stipulated time, the Finance department will instruct to stop all payments including salary against the defaulting departments.
