With the fear of elimination looming large on every contestant as DID’s finale gets closer, this Sunday’s episode of Maruti Suzuki Dance India Dance will attempt to ease off the tension as kids from Tata Memorial Hospital will attend the shoot as special guests and spread a lot of cheer amongst the contestants. A group of friends who call themselves – Sunshine and Smiles – work with those suffering from diseases like AIDS & Cancer and they organized an interaction of the these ailing kids with their favorite contestants and Masters Geeta, Terence , Remo & Grand Master Mithun Da. The theme of the episode ‘Colors of India’ blended beautifully with this sentiment as contestants, Sanam, Mohena, Vaibhav, Raghav, Neerav, Pradeep, Abhik and Rajasmita brought to the fore a bouquet of various characters, cultures and dance that India stands for.
Masters Remo, Geeta and Terence’s most unforgettable moments during the shoot were not only the scintillating performances on stage but also the innocent smiles on the little children’s faces suffering from a terminal illness. The kids smiled, sang songs, shook a leg to the latest chartbusters and said Mithun Da’s signature dialogue – Kya Baat, Kya Baat, Kya Baat after every fabulous performance with aplomb. It was overwhelming for all present to see them cheer and applause after every act forgetting their pain.
An emotional Mithun Chakraborty commented, “All the kids present are special in their own way and I consider myself lucky to have spent time with them…their energy is infectitious. I wish them all a speedy recovery. It was so good to have them there.”
This Sunday, watch Terence live in action on stage as he goes into a trance dancing on a Sufi number while Raghav, Neerav and Pradeep dressed in traditional costumes brought the magic of Yakshagana alive on stage by performing a musical theater routine popular in the coastal regions of Karnataka. Don’t also miss the faceoff between Mohena – Rajasmitha and Pradeep – Abhik this Sunday, 1st April, 8:30 PM only on Zee TV.
