Activeness of Madhya Pradesh
At the behest of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh has already become active in improving the breed of cow progeny. For this purpose, Gaushalas have been connected with MNREGA through Kamadhenu Upa Yojna. Similarly, special arrangements have been made for providing fodder, drinking water and other basic amenities for animals of cow progeny caught while being illegally transported.
According to working council president Shri Shiv Chaube, 563 Gaushalas in the state have been activated and made self-reliant. For this purpose, works are being undertaken for production of bio-fertilisers, earthworm fertiliser, gobar gas and improvement of breed of cow progeny. Activities of infrastructure development, horticulture and meadow development have also been intensified.
As per Chief Minister’s wish, famous scientists have been invited to attend the workshop to provide guidance. After two-day brainstorming, a report on the basis of suggestions to be mooted at the workshop will be handed over to the State Government for chalking out the future policy. Social workers and institutions promoting cow conservation, augmentation and production of bio-fertilisers will also be honoured on the occasion. Agriculture Minister Dr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria will be the chief guest at the concluding function of the workshop on January 9 while Vice-Chairman of State Planning Commission Shri Babulal Jain will preside over it.
