Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to conserve the glorious historical heritage of bravery and gallantry of India from ancient to present times. In this connection, a ‘Vir Bharat’ centre will be established in Bhopal.
It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced the setting up of a ‘Vir Bharat’ centre during a function held on Memorial Day of Vir Savarkar in New Delhi recently.In order to hammer out the concept and plan to set up the centre, a cabinet sub-committee constituted for the same held its meeting at Mantralaya today. Culture Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma, School Education Minister Smt. Archana Chitnis and Home Minister Shri Uma Shankar Gupta were present at the meeting. Besides, sub-committee member Secretary, Principal Secretary Housing and Environment Shri Iqbal Singh Bains was also present. The sub-committee was constituted today itself.
Establisment of the centre aims at educating the new generation about bravery and heroism of India. It was felt that youth of modern generation must be taught about great leaders and warriors of the country. Information about great leaders and warriors born in India from ancient to the modern times will be available at the centre through modern technique. Besides, the centre will also provide an authentic data to the people who want to explore India as well researchers.
It was decided at the meeting that a concept for centre should be framed as expeditiously as possible. Land for the establishment of centre should be identified. The cabinet sub-committee will inspect the site. Culture Minister Shri Sharma instructed to study the centres of the world based on this concept in order to get more idea in this regard.
