Proving their excellence, the thermal power plants of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company have created the record of generating maximum units of power on March 30. All the three thermal power plants of the company have also created the record of maximum power generation in one day. Sanjay Gandhi thermal power plant, Birsinghpur, Satapura thermal power plant, Sarni and Amarkantak thermal power plant, Chachai registered 84.07 percent plant load factor (PLF) and generated 591.66 lakh units of power. Earlier record of maximum power generation by thermal power plants in the state was created on January 25 when 575.76 lakh units of power were generated.
Minister of State for Energy (independent charge) Shri Rajendra Shukla, Secretary Energy and Chairman of State Electricity Board and MP Power Generating Company Shri Mohammad Sulaiman and company’s Managing Director Shri Vijendra Nanavati have congratulated engineers and employees of the three thermal power plants for this achievement. The Minister of State for Energy hoped that the staff will continue to perform with the same dedication and create better situation of power generation.
Record was created thus
The 210 MW capacity unit number one of Sanjay thermal power plant generated 43.01 lakh units power, 210 MW capacity unit number two 41.67 lakh units, 210 MW capacity unit number three 40.40 lakh units and 210 MW capacity unit number 4 generated 45.15 lakh units of power. The 500 MW capacity unit number five generated 121.80 lakh units of power. Thus, Sanjay Gandhi thermal power plant generated 292.03 lakh units of power in one day. The nine units of Satpura thermal power plant generated a total of 207.06 lakh units of power while the three units of Amarkantak thermal power plant at Chachai generated 92.57 lakh units of power.
Record created in PLF too
All the three thermal plant also performed excellently from the point of view of PLF also. On March 30, the Sanjay Gandhi thermal power plant at Birsinghpur registered 90.81 percent plant load factor, the Satpura thermal power plant, Sarni 75.51 percent and the Amarkantak thermal power plant registered 85.71 percent PLF. The same day, the 500 MW capacity unit number five of Sanjay Gandhi thermal power plant registered 101.50 percent PLF and 210 MW unit number five 100.46 percent PLF.
