The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said the industries, which provide 90 percent jobs to local youths of the districts will be exempted from tax. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the beneficiaries would not have to move from pillar to post at the offices to avail themselves of benefits of welfare schemes. The Chief Minister said that Antodaya Mela would be organised at district level every year. Shri Chouhan was addressing a gathering at the Antodaya Mela at Rajgarh today. The Chief Minister distributed cheques for over Rs 72 crore 64 lakh under various schemes among 705 beneficiaries. Shri Chouhan also dedicated 14 development works worth Rs 27 crore 94 lakh and laid foundation stones for 80 development works to the tune of Rs 170 crore 21 lakh under various departments.The Chief Minister informed that adequate funds would be provided for expansion of irrigation facilities in the state. A total amount of Rs 25 thousand crore will be spent in next five years. Shri Chouhan said that the State Government is very sensitive indeed towards poor and farmers. Half of the budget of the State will be spent on the welfare of these sections. The Chief Minister said that boys would be provided bicycles in line with girls for going to schools located at other villages. The amount will be handed over to guardians for the purchasing of bicycles. Talking about the welfare measures for farmers, Shri Chouhan said that support price of wheat and subsidy amount on farm implements would be deposited into their accounts. The farmers are being given loan at the rate of one percent from next years. The Chief Minister said that financial assistance upto Rs 15 lakh is being provided to the meritorious students of all sections for higher studies aboard.
BJP State President Shri Prabhat Jha also addressed the gathering. The Chief Minister released a book-let on ‘decentralized format and Antodaya Mela’. On this occasion, MLA Shri Mohan Sharma, Shri Hemraj Kalpani, Shri Gautam Tetwal and public representatives were present.
