Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that dearness allowance will be given to state government’s staff from the date Central Government declares the same. He urged officers and employees to work unitedly for state’s development, discharge duty earnestly and bring about positive change in people’s lives. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing New Year function of Madhya Pradesh Mantralaya (Secretariat) Employees Union here today. Higher Education Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta and Minister of State for General Administration Shri Lal Singh Arya were also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that more funds will be available for public welfare when state’s growth rate will rise. He said that decisions on all problems of employees will be taken after due consideration. He said that State Middle Class Commission has been constituted to solve problems of middle class. Its our resolve to develop Madhya Pradesh as the pioneer state in the country in which every section’s cooperation is necessary. Growth rate in Madhya Pradesh has been over 10 percent and agriculture growth rate over 18 percent during last 7 years. State’s budget has increased to Rs. one lakh 2 thousand crore from Rs. 21 thousand crore. Officers and employees are inseparable parts of the government. Every possible effort will be made for their treatment and other facilities. He urged to cooperate in Beti Bachao Abhiyan. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also inaugurated newly constructed building of Mantralaya Employees Union.
In the welcome address, Mantralaya Employees Union’s President Shri Sudhir Nayak demanded to revise pay scales of section officers, rationalise cess, Mantralaya employees housing colony and appoint highly educated peons as assistant grade-3. He informed that Quality Improvement Committee has been constituted in Mantralaya. Vande Mataram and Madhya Pradesh Gaan was presented at the function. Shri R.K. Tanwani sang welcome song. Shri Shiv Chaube, Shri Basant Purohit, representatives of various employees associations and large number of employees were present on the occasion. Shri Subhash Verma conducted the proceedings and Shri Ashish Soni proposed a vote of thanks.
