The children of over 84 thousand of middle, primary schools, schools under national child-labour project and government aided Madaras in the State would be served pudi-sabzi, kheer and laddu as special food in the mid-day meals on August 15th to mark Independence Day. The Ministers in-charge of districts along with Collectors and Chief Executive Officers will also reach in one of such school to attend these special meals. Besides, mothers of children will also reach the schools and taste the food before it is served to their wards by their own hands.The instructions to serve special food to school children on the occasion of Independence-Day have been given to all the district collectors. The menu of this special feast has also been decided which includes pudi-sabzi, kheer, laddu and halua. For this, instructions have been issued. Accordingly, along with the chief guest, the Collectors and Chief Executive Officers of respective districts will also attend this special feast in one of such schools.
The Instructions include ensuring the participation of mothers in the special mid-day meals to be organized on occasion of Independence-Day. The Collectors have been asked to get associated the mothers in maximum number with this programme.
