Bhopal, 10 March : Gas Tragedy, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Shri Babulal Gaur has issued directives to Secretary Shri S.R. Mohanty to prepare a new dress code for doctors and paramedical staff of the hospitals and dispensaries being run by Gas Tragedy, Relief and Rehabilitation department. Shri Gaur has already implemented dress code in local bodies. The citizens can easily differentiate officials and employees on account of dress code.Gas Tragedy and Rehabilitation Shri Babulal Gaur issued instructions during reviewing meeting of the department here today. There is already dress code for the doctors in the hospitals but the doctors and paramedical staff of Gas Relief Hospitals should have different dress code so that the gas victims can identify them easily. Complying with the directives of the Minister, Secretary Shri Mohanty constituted a committee of three chief medical officials. The committee will furnish its report within seven days. After it, the dress code will be decided after the suggestions.
Shri Mohanty asked the doctors to sport dress and apron with identity card and stethoscope during their duty hours. Shri Mohanty said that sporting all these things are a matter of pride for the doctors. They should not avoid them. Shri Gaur reprimanded the officials of Nagar Nigam for not carrying identity cards. Next time, they have to attend meeting in dress code with identity card. These officials were in dress code but did not pin up identity cards.
