The Higher Education Department will give scholarships to the children of landless farm labourers in the state. During the academic session 2011-12, scholarships will be given to 100 students. Applications have been invited from eligible students by September 30, 2011.
This scholarship will be provided to only those students who have passed high school or higher secondary school examination with minimum 60 percent marks in the year 2010-11 provided that the income of the parents must not be exceeding Rs. 25 thousand per annum. The application must accompany a certificate issued by the tehsildar about the applicant’s being a son/daughter of a landless farm labourer. The applicant must have taken admission as a regular student to a vocational course.
The courses covered under the scheme include polytechnic, engineering, medical education, paramedical education, agriculture engineering, BSc Nursing and all the vocational courses run by universities under general education like B Lib, B Ed, BP Ed, LLb etc.Every selected students will be provided Rs. two thousand 500 annual scholarship. This scholarship will be given till completion of the course.
Students will be selected by the selection committee on the basis of merit list of the year in question. If any students is getting any other scholarship, he will not be eligible for this scholarship.
Application forms must be sent to OSD, Higher Education (Scholarship) at the office of Commissioner Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Satpura Bhavan, Bhopal by September 30, 2011.
