Apart from applications received directly, Public Service Guarantee Act is also being implemented in the state through online applications. Due to this dual system, number of applicants is rising constantly. Now, members of the state cabinet will undertake reviews in their districts under their charge vis-à-vis staff’s attitude and promptness towards the work so that people do not face any difficulty in getting government services in time. The State Government is giving special priority to Public Service Management Act. It has made its intentions clear to collectors to implement the Act strictly. In the series, all the people’s representatives right from up-sarpanch up to area MPs have been made aware of the Act’s provisions. Due to this, work is being monitored at every level apart from knowing its actual progress.
Focus on September 25
After observing Public Service Week, now the focus of the State Government will on Public Service Day, which is to be observed in the entire state on September 25. The main activity on the occasion will be online registration of applications at the district and block levels. This work will be undertaken by organising camps at these places. In fact, the facility of online registration has been introduced to facilitate people. Besides, arrangement is also in place for accepting applications directly at the concerning departments. This has offered options to people to avail benefit of the scheme by either direct or online applications within the stipulated time limit.
The first anniversary of implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act in Madhya Pradesh is being observed as Public Service Day on September 25. Therefore, it has also been decided that certificates of various services will also be provided on that day.
