The technical snag which was faced today in the afternoon in the efforts to bring the Narmada water to the state capital has been removed instantly. The electric motors of the intake well have started working and the Narmada water is moving fast towards Bhopal through the pipeline.The Principal Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department, Shri Alok Shrivastava on receipt of information regarding the technical snag pertaining to the electricity which was experienced all of a sudden in the task of bringing the Narmada water to Bhopal, rushed to Shahganj. The technical snag has been removed in a very short time with the efforts of the engineers who were supervising the arrangements on the site. Today, the intake well motors have become operational. Along with this, pumping was also started in the afternoon at 3 P.M. The Narmada water has started reaching Khatpura water treatment plant through the pipeline. It has covered three-fourth distance by 5 P.M. Also, the air of the gear valves is being released by the technical staff. Further, water will be filled in the Dohta brake pressure tank before 9 P.M. Dohta is 46 kilometer away from Bhopal. In all probabilities, the Narmada water would reach Ahamadpur near Bhopal on early Thursday morning.
