Religious Trust and Endowment Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma chaired a meeting of advisory committee of his department here today. The members of the committee suggested that the proposed Bill be okayed soon.
Shri Sharma said that suggestions put forth by the members would be taken into account before passing the Bill. The Bill will be tabled soon, he said. After consulting the office bearers of managements of religious trusts and temples located in the State, the Bill will be passed. The Committee recommended to set up Madhya Pradesh Pilgrims’ houses at four religious places (Char Dham) such as Badrinath, Kedarnath, Rameshwaram, Dwarkapuri, Jagannathpuri and Prayag (Allahabad).Shri Sharma instructed the officials to initiate steps for setting the land allotted to facilitate constitute of pilgrims houses at all the four dhamas. Besides, design of such proposed houses be prepared. Shri Sharma said that steps should be taken to protect assets of religious institutions of other states in Madhya Pradesh. The Minister informed that process to constitute trust for better management of Chitrakoot, Omkareshwar, Laxmanbag (Rewa) and Ramraja temple (Orchha) is underway at government level. He also instructed to conduct survey of government and non-government temples in Madhya Pradesh.
MLAs Sarvashri Bhanu Rana, Gautam Tetwal and Jamana Singh Solanki were present at the meeting. Principal Secretary Religious Trust and Endowment Shri R.K. Swai threw light on the activities of the development.
