600 couples tie the knot, C.M. Blesses newly-wed couples
Indore:Monday, April 14:The largest ever mass marriage ceremony was held at Indore on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami today where 600 couples of different sections of society tied the nuptial knot. Over one lakh twenty five thousand people including the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other public representatives were present on the occasion. The ceremony was organized jointly by the district administration and Yuva Bhartiya Sangathan.The Chief Minister blessed the newly wed couples and wished them a happy married life. He said that the state government is committed to welfare of weaker sections including women. He assured that no effort would be spared in this direction.
Spiritual Guru Mata Kanakeshwari also blessed the new couples. She said that service of people is like worship. The Minister for Public Works Department Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya also spoke on the occasion.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Sant Shri Vipul Shashtri, Shri Bhagwatdas Ji Maharaj, Computer Baba, Shri Mahant Ghanshyamdas Ji Maharaj, chairman of Khadi and Gramaudyog Shri Satyanarayan Sattan, MLA Shri Manoj Patel, chairman of Indore Development Authority Shri Madhu Verma and Shri Ramesh Mendola.
