Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra has said that the Yoga and Indian system of medicine are playing an instrumental role in maintaining the health of people. The Minister said that Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has brought about a revolution in yoga practice by reestablishing ancient yoga and making popular among the people. Dr. Narottam Mishra was speaking as chief guest at the programme organised bu Yog Research Council at Dr. Ganguly Charitable Hospital and Research Centre here today. Presiding over the programme, Home Minister Shri Uma Shankar Gupta appreciated efforts of the institute. Shri Gupta said that such institute should be promoted in the state. Bhopal Municipal Corporation Chairman Shri Kailash Mishra also addressed the programme.
On this occasion, the duo Ministers inaugurated a three-day camp from March 11 to March 13 for free Yoga, naturopathy, physiotherapy, acupressure and acupuncture. Besides, they also dedicated a lift in memory of late Shri Jagannath Prasadji. A souvenir of Yoga Research Council was also released to mark silver jubilee year of it. Institute Chairman Shri Sikandar Ahemad informed that the services of Yoga, Indian system of medicines, acupuncture, and physiotherapy are available. He also informed about the achievements of the institute.
At the very outset, floral tributes were offered at the portrait of late Dr. K.M. Ganguly. Senior members Shri Jagdish Sahita and Dr. M.S. Deshpandey were felicitated. General Secretary Shri Sunil Soni conducted the programme while Shri Ashish Agrawal proposed a vote of thanks to the guests. On this occasion, Delhi State BJP Organising General Secretary Shri Vijay Sharma and Shri Sudhir Sharma and office bearers with members were present.
