A long cherished dream of School of Drama in Madhya Pradesh was realized with the opening of it today at Capital of culture. The opening of School of Drama has paved the ways for promoting cultural and drama activities in the State. The School of Drama was dedicated by former Deputy Prime Minister Shri Lal Krishan Advani here today.Former Deputy Prime Minister Shri Advani inaugurated the School of Drama on Rangshree Little Belle Troupe premises. He also offered floral tributes on the portrait of well-known play artist and Padamshri Gulvardhan. Shri Advani attended this inaugural function along with his wife Kamala Advani and Sushri Pratibha Advani. On this occasion, the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, his wife Smt. Sadhna Singh, former Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Smt. Najma Heptulla, Culture Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma and well-known drama artists and film makers were present.
Inauguration Of Function With Naandi Recitation
Two dozen students of first batch of School presented musical ‘Naandi’ recitation after the dedication of Madhya Pradesh School of Drama. The Naandi recitation centering on Ved stanzas echoed the function. Former Deputy Prime Minister Shri Advani and guests enjoyed the recitation of students. It may be noted that the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan had dreamt of Madhya Pradesh School of Drama only two years ago. Now, it has been realized today. The School was opened with the objective of promoting talents and making it a medium to generate jobs to the lovers of arts.
25 Talents Hunted Out Of 250
As many as 250 applications were received for the first batch of Madhya Pradesh School of Drama. A total of 25 talents were selected after many trials. The students will be imparted training by the experts ‘Guru’. This course will be available for two to three years.
