Bhopal : On Gopashtami Parva, Culture Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma worshipped cows at Shri Krishna Gaushala in Sironj. Shri Sharma said that Gaushala should be developed like a pilgrimage centre. He informed that Cow Sanctuary is being developed in one thousand hectare area in Shajapur district.
The Culture Minister said that opening of Gaushala in each village is necessary to augment bovine species. The government is providing subsidy for it. Giving information about organic farming, he said that bovine species is very necessary for it. He also inaugurated shade of Shri Krishna Gaushala constructed using funds sanctioned by the Gaupalan Evam Pashudhan Samvardhan Board. The shade has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh.
Mahatma Gandhi Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya Chitrakoot’s vice-chancellor Shri Krishna Bihari Pandey threw light on the importance of cow milk and urine. He also gave information about community school scheme.
