Bhopal:Thursday, April 10, 2008:A one-day workshop of World Bank-aided Madhya Pradesh Water Restructuring Project was held here today at Academy of Administration. The consultancies working for the projects presented outlines of their schemes at the workshop. Field engineers connected with the project also expressed their views about these outlines. Schemes for Modernisation of Project (SMPs) are prepared for irrigation projects. CES company, a consultancy which is related to SMP construction, presented the outlines prepared by it for SMP construction. Smack consultancy gave information about skill development of water consumer organisations. DHVBV Consultancy gave information about the works relating to consolidation of institutions. The field engineers expressed their views about the presentations made by these consultancies and representatives of the consultancies replied to the queries.The purpose of this workshop was apprising the field staff with works being carried out by consultancies and informing them about their cooperative role in these works.Those present on the occasion included World Bank team leader Shri Xavier and experts accompanying him. Project director Shri PK Tiwari welcomed the guests. Secretary, Water Resources, Shri GK Tiwari and chief engineer Dr Kedarnath Agrawal also participated in the discussion.
