Bhopal:Monday, August 11 :The employment-oriented courses launched through public participation by the state Higher Education Department have started yielding successful results. The students who have completed one-year diploma course in tourism and hotel management from Government Post-graduate College, BHEL, Bhopal, have started making their career not only in India but also in foreign countries.
One of the diploma holders from the college Anis Kamal, is presently putting in his services in Hotel Alraf in Dera Dubai Gold Market. Rahul Mishra is discharging the duty in famous tour and travel agency Cox and Kings’ Bhopal-based office as senior executive. Other successful students include Mithlesh Malviya, Pinki Tiwari and Anand Patel who are giving their services in Goa and Bhopal hotels. Dr. Smt. Usha Parihar is providing consultation as beautician in auxiliary field in this industry. Sheetal Shrivastava is engaged in catering service while Dr. Papia Mukherjee is working as faculty. Sonia Tamrakar of BHEL College is receptionist-cum-cashier while Shalini Tamrakar is working as catering sales coordinator in Hotel Taj in Mangalore.
Under the jurisdiction of Barkatullah University, Bhopal, only BHEL College is running this employment-oriented course. From the current session, various new subjects have been included in the course due to which youths are becoming more inclined towards seeking career in tourism and hotel management industry.
Others who have achieved success after completing this course include Deepak Tiwari, Neeraj Jain, Ajay Kudesia and Surekha Dutta.
