Bhopal:March 31,The state-level function under Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana would be organised at Bhopal on April 8. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan would inaugurate the programme. A meeting in connection with preparations of Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana was held today at Mantralaya which
was presided over by Chief Secretary Shri Rakesh Sahni. The state-level function would be organised at Motilal Nehru Stadium on April 8 at 12 noon. After the state-level function, this scheme would be launched in every district.
Under Annapurna Yojana, all the BPL families (who are not beneficiaries of Antodaya Anna Yojana) would be supplied 20 kilogrammes of wheat per month at the rate of Rs three per kilogramme and rice at Rs 4.50 per kg. There are one lakh 32 thousand BPL families in Bhopal.The meeting discussed arrangements for food, drinking water, tents, medical facilities etc to be made for the participants at the state-level function. It was decided to entrust these responsibilities to societies and institutions and instructions were issued to concerning persons.
Those present at the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary Shri Pradeep Bhargava, Principal Secretary Shri MK Rai, Principal Secretary Shri OP Rawat, Principal Secretary Shri Pravesh Sharma, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Ashok Das, Commissioner Mandi Shri SS Uppal, Commissioner Bhopal Shri Pukhraj Maroo, Collector Bhopal Shri RK Mathur and others.
