Bhopal:Sunday, August 10 :Public Relations, Culture and Mineral Resources Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma has said that the state government is committed for welfare of the poor. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has fully understood common men’s problems and has chalked out various welfare schemes with a view to solving their problems. Public welfare camps are being organised to ensure that these schemes are implemented in proper way.
Public Relations Minister Shri Sharma was addressing a public welfare camp recently at Garetha village in Sironj Tahasil of Vidisha district.The Public Relations Minister said that development of infrastructure in the state is progressing fast. Roads are being built in every village. Citing example of Lateri-Sironj area, Shri Sharma said that with construction of quality roads, people of this area feel no problem in travel and transport and this has led to fast development of the area. Apart from building roads, the state government has also chalked out Rs 100 crore irrigation schemes for the area.
He said that a Rs 25 crore medium irrigation scheme has been sanctioned for Garetha which would bring 26712 hectare area under irrigation. Public Relations Minister Shri Sharma also distributed cheques and National Savings Certificates to beneficiaries of various schemes including Ladli Laxmi Yojana. On this occasion, free uniforms were also distributed to school girls.
