12 Sep : Smt. Abhilasha Dubey, a teacher working in school run by Tribal Development Department has been honoured by the National Award at Delhi on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5 for her excellent and commendable work in the field of education.
President Smt. Pratibha Patil presented her this award at a function organized in New Delhi on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. She was given Rs. 25 thousand in cash, a certificate of citation and a silver medal.
Smt. Dubey was given this award for her excellent and commendable work in Tribal Development Block Kesla of Hoshangabad district and at Government Residential School, Katara Hills, Bhopal, for tribal students of eight districts in their education, science and environment protection for their integrated personality development. Smt. Dubey is the only one teacher working in scheduled caste and scheduled tribe department schools who was selected this year for national award. Earlier, in the year 2009 also, Madhya Pradesh Governor was awarded her as excellent teacher. Apart from this, Smt. Dubey had received the state-level Navachari Vigyan Shikshak Puraskar given by the Madhya Pradesh Scienc and Technology Department.
