Bhopal:March 31,Madhya Pradesh Fisheries Federation presented a cheque of royalty worth Rs 41 lakh today to Minister of State for Fisheries (Independent charge) Shri Moti Kashyap. Earlier, the Federation had presented a Rs 10 lakh cheque to the government. Thus this year, the Federation has presented royalty
cheques worth Rs 51 lakh against the target of Rs 50 lakh. Those present on the occasion included Additional Chief Secretary Shrimati Ranjana Choudhary, Principal Secretary, Fisheries , Shri Rakesh Agrawal, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Fisheries Federation Shrimati Kanchan Jain and Director, Fisheries Shri H.S. Siddhu.
Apart from the cheque, the Federation also presented to Shri Moti Kashyap the ISO Certificate 9001:2000 it has received recently. The ISO Certificate was bestowed on the Federation for qualitative functioning and maintenance of stipulated standards.
Later, Shri Kashyap chaired the meeting of the Federation’s Board of Directors and reviewed progress of the year 2007-08. Those present at the meeting included senior officers of Fisheries Department, Madhya Pradesh Fisheries Federation, Finance Department and Cooperative Department. The meeting laid emphasis on maximum utilisation of increasing water resources in the state for the benefit of fishermen.
