Ujjain: June 13:At the stone laying ceremony of Rs 100 steel processing unit at Bandka industrial area in Ujjain district today, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan thanked Union Steel Minister Shri Ram Vilas Paswan for giving the gift of three steel processing units to Madhya Pradesh. He said that despite belonging to different political parties, we are united for development. Shri Chouhan announced that all the cases relating to power against farmers will be withdrawn.
Union Steel Minister Shri Ram Vilas Paswan said that the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has become very popular by continuously working for poor and needy people. Shri Paswan said that health insurance cover would be provided to poor people. Health Insurance Cards would be distributed among the poor like ration cards. All the poor people would be covered under this scheme during the next three years. He announced that the construction work of the steel processing unit would begin simultaneously with stone laying and it would be inaugurated on August 15, 2009.
Earlier, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Steel, Fertlisers and Chemicals Minister Shri Ram Vilas Paswan laid the foundation stone of the steel processing plant at Bandka village, 16 kilometres away from Ujjain.
Addressing the function, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan enumerated benefits of various welfare schemes including Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Annapurna Yojana and Mukhyamantri Mazdoor Suraksha Yojana and said that these schemes have brought about a pleasant change in common man’s life. Shri Chouhan said that first priority of the state government is to secure people of their rights. The state government is dedicated for uplift of the poor.
Those present on the occasion local MP Shri Satyanarayan Jatia, Chairman of Steel Authority India Shri S.K. Rungta and local MLA Dr Narayan Parmar who also addressed the function.
