Bhopal:Sunday, July 6, 2008:The District Planning Committee of Damoh, chaired by minister incharge of the district Shri Gopal Bhargava has taken the important decision that under the free uniform scheme, parents can buy the uniforms of their own choice and the money spent on the purchase would be reimbursed to them.
Shri Bhargava made it clear that the decision taken with consensus by the committee would be binding. As per the decision, parents can buy readymade uniform or have a uniform stitched after purchasing cloth. Each parent would be reimbursed Rs 200 per uniform in cash on producing purchase receipt. Similarly, Rs 2000 would be paid for purchase of a cycle by a girl student.
At the meeting the minister incharge of the district also reviewed the ongoing works of various departments and made it clear that the construction agencies would have to accomplish the works assigned to them in time. He laid stress on further improving the arrangements being made for digging of wells under Kapil Dhara Yojana.
Giving directions about Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan Yojana, Shri Gopal Bhargava underlined the need to giving momentum to this welfare scheme in the Sagar division. It may be mentioned that Sagar lags behind all other divisions in the implementation of this scheme. Describing Mukhyamantri Mazdoor Suraksha Yojana, Ladli Laxmi Yojana and Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana as the priority sector schemes of the state government, he said the Chief Minister has paved way for social uplift of downtrodden people by launching these schemes. At the outset, collector Shri R.L. Khandelwal put the agenda before the members. He also proposed a vote of thanks to the minister incharge of the district and other participants on the conclusion of the programme.
