Bhopal:Wednesday, December 17, 2008:So far, 3,667 self-help groups have been set up under Swayamsidhha Yojana being implemented by Women and Child Development Department. As many as 41,000 women have become members of these self-help groups, which are in operation in 36 development blocks in 13 districts. The objective of these self-help groups is women’s empowerment by strengthening their economic condition.
So far, more than 250 assets have been created by the self-help groups under the scheme. These include lavatories, water tanks, work shed, community halls etc. at a cost of Rs four crore two lakh.
