Bhopal : The Indore district administration has ensured adequate arrangements for prevention and treatment of swine flu. For this, a task force has been set up. A meeting of the task force, field health officers, doctors and managers of private nursing homes reviewed the situation. The meeting decided to launch a campaign so that there is no panic among the people and inform them about the ways of preventing the epidemic. There is no threat of swine flu epidemic in Indore. Even then adequate arrangements for treatment have been made.
As many as 20 thousand capsules of ‘temiflu’ medicine have been stored in Indore district and vaccines and masks have also been made available. Ten samples were sent from Indore out of which 6 were found positive. Three patients have recovered fully and discharged from hospital. The Chief Medical Officer has made it clear that every kind of flu or cold is not swine flu. However, a suspected patient should get himself treated at the nearest hospital or health centre.
